Zastava TERVO Begins Historical Hazardous Waste Remediation

Zastava TERVO d.o.o. began on May 29, 2026, the implementation of a significant project to remediate historically accumulated hazardous waste generated in painting and cataphoresis processes, marking an important step towards improving safety, environmental protection, and further development of the company.

The estimated amount of waste to be removed exceeds 100 tons of waste paint. This activity represents the beginning of resolving a decades-long problem that presented a significant burden for the company's operations and limited the possibilities for further modernization and development of production capacities.

The entire project is financed by the Ministry of Defense and is being implemented in cooperation with the company Kemeko d.o.o. from Valjevo, an authorized operator for hazardous waste management. Resolving historically accumulated hazardous waste represents not only an important step in environmental protection but also an investment in the sustainable future of the factory, its employees, and the local community.
