Training on the Modernized Air Defense System
Intensive training for combat use of the modernized 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft system is underway in the artillery-rocket air defense battalions of the Serbian Land Forces brigades.
In the artillery-rocket air defense battalions of the Land Forces brigades, intensive training for the combat use of the modernized 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft system is being conducted. In accordance with the training program and prescribed standards, the crews of this system are being trained to carry out a wide range of tasks protecting Land Forces units in combat operations, as well as defending important facilities and installations from aerial threats.
The emphasis is on practicing tactical actions and procedures applied in combat against unmanned aerial vehicles, combat helicopters, cruise missiles, low-flying aircraft, as well as during engagements against ground targets. The modernization of the 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft system has significantly improved crew protection, mobility, and fire readiness speed, thereby enhancing the overall maneuver and fire capabilities of the artillery-rocket air defense units of the Serbian Armed Forces for the rapid and efficient execution of mission tasks in offensive and defensive operations.
